How this works
- Expert hours returned = employees × share in office roles × 1,650 hours × routine share × recoverable share. Recoverable share: 15% cautious, 25% base, 35% ambitious.
- 1,650 hours = productive hours per full time employee per year, after annual leave, public holidays and other absence.
- Capacity value = hours returned × (fully loaded cost ÷ 1,650). This is capacity, not cash: it becomes a saving only when the time is redeployed to revenue work or replaces planned hiring.
- Customer service savings = contacts per year × cost per contact × share resolved or shortened by AI: 15%, 30% or 45%. Customer service staff are excluded from the expert time calculation, so the two figures do not overlap.
- Cash released = daily revenue × days removed from the order to cash cycle: 3, 6 or 10 days, capped at 15% of today's cycle. This is a one-off improvement in working capital, not annual profit.
- Where to look first ranks the three levers by annual value. One-off cash is counted at 15% a year for this ranking only, an indicative cost of tying up working capital.
- Implementation and running costs are not deducted here. A detailed business case per workflow is part of the roadmap work.
